Lon Hannah has been a Cowboy and Western musician for over 30 years. Along with his father, Joe Hannah, and his uncle, Jack Hannah, he was a member of the Award-Winning Western group, Sons of the San Joaquin. The ‘Sons’ have performed in 29 of our United States, along with Canada, Mexico, Germany, Switzerland and Japan. The band has won four Wrangler Awards, essentially a Western Grammy award, from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

Lon continues to widen his entertainment horizons. He has been cast as Sheriff Tackett in a western movie entitled “Above Snakes”. He has the starring role as he works to solve the disappearance of several young men in an Arizona town circa 1900. Lon has also co-written the theme song for the faith forward family movie “Lost Outlaw,” which has been picked up by Bridgestone Multimedia for distribution worldwide. He performs the song on the soundtrack and has the part of the bartender, playing guitar and singing onscreen in a couple of scenes.

For his portrayal of Sheriff Tacket in “Above Snakes”, Lon has had three nominations for Best Actor in a Feature from the Oniros Film Awards in New York, Europe Independent Movie Festival in London, and The Wild Bunch Film Festival in Wilcox, Arizona. Lon won a “Best Actor in a Feature” honors at the Europe Independent Movie Festival in London.

For co-writing the theme to the faith based film, “Lost Outlaw”, Lon Has received a nomination for Best Score/Song (Western Feature Film) in The Wild Bunch Film Festival.

Performing Cowboy and Western music solo or with his band, San Joaquin Junction, remains his passion.
